We took a ride through Custer State Park where there is all types of natural beauty. Named for the famous Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer who led his Calvery expedition through the mysterious Black Hills in the middle of Indian Country. Historians say it was Custer's incursion into the Black Hills and the gold rush he touched off, that led to the defeat of his forces near the Little Big Horn River in Montana just two years later.
We enjoyed the history and the vastness of this beautiful place. We observed bison, Prong Horns and burros roaming free.
